I made this cresh ornament inside the lid from a jar of Grey Poupon mustard. Mary, Joseph and Baby Jesus were molded from air-dry paper clay. I made this for my friend, Darlene, but I like it so much that I will have to make myself one too. I'll need another mustard lid though. I guess I could always drive up to a limo with a sandwich and say "Excuse me, but can you spare any Grey Poupon?" haha!
I've been making lots of ornaments this holiday season, and I've been finding that this kind of creativity is healing me on so many levels! When my hands are busy gluing glittery stars, I am not thinking sad thoughts. Anything we can do to interrupt our sad thoughts is a good thing. I have a whole box under my table full of sparkly stuff and pipe cleaners and all the things I need to make ornaments. That way, whenever the mood strikes me I can whip out an ornament and feel instantly better.

Even though we don't celebrate Christmas, we definitely believe in the account of Christ's miraculous birth. This ornament is just incredible! Your talent and ideas are amazing!
