Even though I didn’t post everyday, engaging in this challenge made me realize that I am creative everyday in so many ways. All throughout each day I am creating small works of art that no one knows about but me. They are little things, like making a cheese omelet and letting the cheese touch the side of the pan to make the perfect toasty brown crispy crust. I also happen to be a world-class omelet flipper!
But I haven’t just been making cheese omelets all month.
I have been dealing with some emotional turmoil and illness, and I’ve also been making lots of Christmas ornaments. I am really getting into it and making all kinds of discoveries as I go! Like this monogrammed mitten for my friend Marney’s son Kai. Strange as it may sound, creating these ornaments is healing my grief. Little Honey would have loved my Sugar Plum Fairy, below. All of this has been to heal the loss of her, which goes so much deeper at this time of year.
Looking on the brighter side, I received an Inspiring Blog award from my good friend Bill yesterday. I feel so grateful for friends like him. He always seems to step in with the perfect gift or words of appreciation just when I need them most. He’s at the top of my Inspiring Blogs list as well.
So it’s been a good and creative month all around. I am grateful for all the visitors and hope to see you again! Meanwhile, may your holidays be filled with peace, joy and love.
