My grandpa was a dear, sweet soul. He used to travel the world finding orchids and then he would bring them back to his greenhouse in Gull Lake, Michigan and raise them. Whenever my orchid blooms, I think of him. He was one of the few souls who loved and accepted me as I am.
I love it when my orchid blooms. It's been about 2 years since it bloomed, and I had pretty much given up on it. I love it when something I've given up on surprises me so pleasantly!

Orchids are incredibly beautiful. I use to have a multicolored purple orchid. The flowers were huge! It's perfume filled the whole room. Unfortunately, it ended up dying. My mother had brought it up from Florida when they moved back to Michigan. I haven't thought about that orchid for quite some time. I sure wish I still had it.

What a lovely flower and a wonderful memory. Bill, I've never heard of a multi-colored orchid! It must've been beautiful!
